Dioptase Nugget

This Emerald look-alike is a Copper-based mineral that forms into rhomboid crystal structures. It is sometimes used in jewelry, but at a 5 hardness, it's quite a bit softer than other precious and semi-precious stones. This specimen has wonderful luster when viewed from any angle.
